"Material Autonomy and spiritual Equality: A Comparative Study of Feminist Thought in A Room of One's Own and Woman in the Nineteenth Century"

تقدم هذه الدراسة تحليلا مقارنا للفكر النسوي في كتاب غرفة تخص المرء وحده (1929) للكاتبة فرجينيا وولف وكتاب المراءة في القرن التاسع عشر (1845) للكاتبة مارغريت فولر ينتقد كلا العملين البنى الأبوية ويدعوان الى تحرر المراءة. ألأ انهما يختلفان في منهج الطرح. حيث تؤكد وولف على أهمية الاستقلال الاقتصادي وامتلاك مساحة خاصة كشرط أساسي للأبداع النسوي، في حين تركز فولر على النمو الروحي والتطور الفكري وتحقيق المساواة ضمن الأطر الاجتماعية والدينية. وتخلص الدراسة الى انه رغم هذه الاختلافات، فأن العملين يقدمان اسهاما مهما في الخطاب النسوي المبكر، ولايزالان يحتفظان بأهميتهما في النقاشات المعاصرة حول المساواة بين الجنسين.
